JACOB STAUCH
I am an alumni of Drury University, with a BS in Computer Science, and minors in Mathematics and Cyber Risk Management. I've been a GNU/Linux user since I was 13, and that's not changing any time soon. Retro hardware and software is a big passion of mine. From repairing an Amiga A500 power supply to upgrading the first PC I ever owned, a humble HP Pavilion 4530 running Windows 98, computer history, and the forgotten companies that paved the way for modern computing, is deeply interesting to me.
I picked up programming in early 2016, during my senior year of High School, with a little language called Python. If it counts, I had been using markup languages since as long as I can remember, when my older sister, who had taken a web design class in high school (back when Geocities was still around), showed me the basics of HTML.
I do most of my work on a Lenovo Thinkpad T450s running Xubuntu 18.04 LTS. I use the XFCE Desktop Environment with custom i3-like keybinds so I can navigate efficiently. For programming, I usually use Geany or VS Code. If I'm doing Java, I use Eclipse. For the record, I am not the guy who refuses to use anything but NotePad++, but I do dabble in Vim on occasion.
